42 year old restrained passenger, injured in a motor vehicle collision.

Primary Survey

Airway: Clear

Breathing:
No obvious chest injuries. Bilateral equal air entry
O2sats 99% on 100% oxygen.

Circulation:
Pulse 80/min, BP 120/90. Warm peripheries

Dysfunction:
GCS 15/15. Pupils equal & reactive to light.

He is complaining of abdominal pain and has a tender abdomen with some guarding over the right side. There is an obvious seatbelt sign.

CT scan of the abdomen reveals a small amount of free fluid but no solid organ or vascular injury.
