48 year old woman. Back seat passenger in 40mph head-on collision. Driver and front seat passenger pronounced dead at scene. The initial lateral cervical spine film is shown. Antero-posterior and open-mouth views did not reveal other injuries to the cervical spine and the lateral view was repeated to show the C7-T1 junction.

Primary Survey
Airway: Patent
Breathing: RR 20/min. Oxygen Saturation 99%
Trachea central. Equal air entry bilaterally
Circulation: Heart Rate 80, BP 110/50
Dysfunction: GCS 15
Unable to move arms or legs voluntarily.
Exposure: No other external injury.
