The ambulance crew has cut the clothes off the patient and your cursory secondary survey reveals no other obvious injuries. A warming blanket is placed over the patient. The patient remains shocked and obviously needs to get back to the trauma centre. With spinal immobilization he is transferred onto a scoop stretcher and vacuum mattress.
