Trauma.Org accepts advertisements for trauma position openings for all medical and allied specialities related to Trauma Surgery & Critical Care.

To post an advertisement, select the 'Submit an Appointment' option at right. All position announcements are kept on the web site for 3 months, or until the post is filled, whichever comes first. New job positions are also highlighted on the Trauma.Org front page (seen by 40,000 users per month) and posted to the 2700-strong membership of the trauma-list discussion group. This service is free to hospitals and non-profit institutions, but we ask for a minimum donation of £100 ($190) to Trauma.Org if advertisements are placed through recruitment consultancies. Assistant Professor (HS Clinical) Burn/Critical Care Surgeon University of California San Diego

The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, Burns and Acute Care Surgery (http://trauma.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body. The department is seeking an Acute Care Surgeon with special interests and expertise in Burn Surgery.

This is a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level with a significant clinical time allocated to providing burn care. Applicants must possess documented teaching and research experience in an area relevant to Burn/Surgical Critical Care.

This is an academic appointment, which requires documented excellence in clinical activities, research and teaching.

Qualified candidates should meet the following criteria:

1) Board Certification in General Surgery 2) Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care 3) Commitment to research and education 4) Must have or be able to obtain a California medical license

Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor rank in the HS Clinical series. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
