Major responsibilities include clinical and surgical critical care of trauma patients, elective and emergency general surgery patients, teaching, and research. Must be board certified in general surgery with a completed fellowship in critical care. Salary is negotiable; benefits are excellent. The position also monitors each trauma case through the continuum of care within the Hospital to identify cases, extract necessary information and report it for inclusion in the trauma registry database in an accurate and timely manner.
Qualifications include: • Current Florida RN licensure • Intensive Care and/or Emergency nursing experience required • Prefer two years trauma registry experience or other registry database or similar data entry experience • ICD-9-CM coding, AIS/ISS coding/scoring, TRISS scoring and/or prior physiology and disease process education is preferred • Must possess or obtain Trauma Registry Certification within 12 months of hire • Working knowledge of trauma, medical terminology and anatomy required.

Grant Medical Center, a 645-bed, a nationally recognized and growing Level 1 Trauma Center in Columbus, Ohio is seeking additional Trauma Surgeons for its trauma team.
The group admits over 3,500 patients annually drawing from a 46 county region and supports an emergency department with an annual census of over 60,000. Grant has trained trauma specialists dedicated to trauma in orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, and vascular surgery. Subspecialty support is provided in ophthalmology, ob/gyn, anesthesia, urology, as well as in-house radiology and interventional radiology. The Department has multi-detector CAT scans and dedicated ICU/intermediate trauma care/acute care units. Texas Tech University School of Medicine with Northwest Texas Health Care System in Amarillo, Texas is recruiting a Trauma Critical Care Surgeon for a full time employed surgical position.
Duties will include surgery coverage and patient care at the hospital. Call is shared in the group of 5 surgeons. Caseload will include trauma / critical care and some general surgery cases. NWTHS is a Level 3 Trauma Center and treats approximately 60,000 patients yearly in its ER. 85% of the trauma seen at NWTHS is blunt; 15% penetrating (only 5% gunshot). The practice is well integrated at the hospital and works closely with the Hospitalist group, primary care and other specialist physicians.
This is an excellent practice opportunity offering Assistant or Associate Professor Status at Texas Tech University. Currently there are two CC Boarded Surgeons. Several other Surgeons in the Group cover Trauma call. Ideally, bringing in a third CC/Trauma Surgeon would allow the General Surgeons to not take Trauma call, and the CC/Trauma Surgeons could essentially function as Surgical Critical Care "Hospitalists". The Department of Surgery at Temple University School of Medicine (TUSM) seeks to expand the staff of five highly skilled and dedicated trauma surgeons in order to continue to provide state-of-the-art-care for the critically injured throughout all phases of recovery. Candidates will benefit from having the full support of TUSM and its physicians at the flagship Temple University Hospital, a 746-bed tertiary care facility Level I trauma center that is adjacent to the School of Medicine. Interested candidates must be BE/BC in Trauma Surgery, in possession of or be eligible to receive medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and possess credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at the minimum level of assistant professor.
The Section of Trauma/Critical Care evaluates and manages nearly 3,000 trauma patients / admissions per year (30% penetrating wounds) in the heart of North Philadelphia. The selected candidate will also perform general emergency surgery and share equitable on-call with the group. There will be a compliment of clinical cases along with teaching of residents and medical students coupled with the opportunity for research.
