Description
The University of Nevada School of Medicine is offering a one year ACGME approved Surgical Critical Care Fellowship and the nation’s first approved Acute Care Surgery Fellowship. Training is completed at UMC Trauma Center, Nevada’s only Level One Trauma Center caring for 4,500 trauma patients a year. Over 300 exploratory laparotomies and over 50 thoracotomies are performed through our Trauma Center annually. And our Acute Care Surgery Fellowship manages over 340 laparotomies per year.
Training in neurosurgical, burn, general surgery, pediatric and cardiovascular, orthopedic critical care is provided. Applicants should have completed residency in general surgery and be eligible for Nevada Licensure.
