Fellowship Program

Clinical Responsibilities

The fellowship will be located at HSS, NYH and NSUH. The majority of thepatients are acute referrals for the management of their complex or multiple orthopaedic trauma injuries. The primary goal of the fellowship is to develop expertise in the management of orthopaedic trauma patients, especially (I) decision making and prioritization for optimizing treatment (II)surgical skills including the current trend of “biological” internal and external fixation and (III) the development of a comprehensive approach to the management of the patient, problem and the rehabilitation. A broad spectrum of orthopaedic trauma is experienced in this fellowship including acetabulum and calcaneus) as well as post traumatic reconstruction of malunions, nonunions and infections.

Research Opportunities

Research opportunities will include participation in ongoing clinical protocols, “bench-top” basic science and animal research at the Phillip D.Wilson Research Institute of The Hospital for Special Surgery.

$50,000+

Applicant Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Orthopaedic Residency Program, Able to obtain New York State license.
