The Unit
Description
YNHH has been reverified by the American College of Surgeons and the State of Connecticut Trauma System as a Regional Level I Trauma Center. The trauma attendings remain in-house 24 hours a day and respond to all Full Trauma Responses, as well as assist in the resuscitation and assessment of all admitted trauma patients. Every day of the calendar year an attending trauma surgeon rounds with the trauma team to ensure optimal in-hospital patient care.
