The Unit

Description

The Trauma/Critical Care Fellowship at the Shock Trauma Center, established in 1970, has flexible trauma/critical care pathways of either a one or two years leading to a certificate of added qualification of surgical critical care. The center currently handles over 5,000 admissions annually.The center occupies a separate physical plant on the campus of the University of Maryland Medical Center. The optional second year can be spent in research or EMS areas.
