Description

Level I trauma center admitting approximately 200 trauma patients/year
12 bed trauma/neurosurgical unit, 8 bed burn unit, 7 bed SICU 12 bed open heart unit, 28 bed step-down trauma unit.

Research Activities

Both clinical & basic science research available

Fellowship Program

Clinical Responsibilities

Flexible schedule: trauma, burn, surgical critical care One-two month elective, if desired On-call every 4th night

Research Opportunities

Clinical research encouraged

Teaching Responsibilities

Surgical residency program
Rotating medical students and visiting residents (Emergency Med and General Surgery residents)

Certifications

Fully Accredited by the ACGME

Salary

PGY6 surgical resident salary $45,700

Applicant Requirements

Completion of US surgical residency program (must be American Board of Surgery Eligible or Certified)
