The Unit

Description

An urgent care center at a ski resort. We see 20-40 patients per day, more than 1/2 acute ski trauma. There is no permanent faculty, but several physicians from around the country do stop by and help me teach students. 

Learning Opportunities

Most injuries are less than an hour old, and involve all parts of the body. We reduce fractures and dislocations, evaluate acute knee sprains like torn ACLs
