After Compliments
1.The patient should not have been taken to CT scan before doing ICD as there was already enough evidence of massive hemothorax
2.How much was the instant drainage at the time ICD was placed has not been mentined in patient’s acount
3.How much was the per hour drainage after ICD
has not been mentined in patient’s acount
4.Even if the drainage was 200ml per hour for 12 hours means 2400ml blood loss of blood means that the drainage on ICD placement was 1600ml is an indication of Thoracostomy.
Allowing the drainage of 4000 ml of blood and to keep patient on Non Operative Management doesnot appear logical .
Thanks to Almighty that the bleeding eventually stopped and the patient didnot land into complications of massive hemorrage viz.lethal triad.
