Rupture of left hemidiaphragm - Contrast study
The patient had been stabbed 8 years previously in the left thoraco-abdominal region. Chest X-ray and a DPL were conducted at that time and all tests resulted negative. He was discharged by the second day with no apparent complications.
Presented subsequently with chest pain and shortness of breath on exertion. Chest X-ray showed gastric bubble in left hemithorax.
