The towel clip closure is a procedure meant as a RAPID and TEMPORARY closure of the abdomen (skin), for patients in an unstable condition, who suffered severe abdominal trauma.
It is meant to hold until edema, abdominal pressure and other factors return to normal, after which a temporary closure would be chosen, depending on how well patient progressed.

True, but towel-clip closure has been all but abandoned in favour of leaving the abdomen open (laparostomy) with a vacuum dressing. This avoids A) Abdominal compartment syndrome and B) finding enough towel clips.

True bagota bag is very good but in trauma setting for damage control . towel clips seems to be the best option.We can look for signs for intra abdominal compartment syndrome and secondly , patient is scheduled for re lap early on any way .

boggotta bags r basically for cases of burst abdomen bt in caes of trauma where damage control surgery z preffered n we have to re-operate properly after sumtimes dan towel clips r better option
