Gunshot liver - balloon tamponade

Grade 4 liver injury.
Balloon tamponade of through and through gunshot wound.

The tamponade balloon was made out of a penrose and a red rubber drain.  This was inserted into the missile track, and the pt. was resuscitated overnight.  The following day the balloon was removed without incident
