This patient was on a moving jeep and caught their ring finger on some wire which traumatically amputated the distal phalanx and overlying skin.

Has a flap cover for the remaining stump been done.

VAC could be used too. We have some cases with this procedure with late mesh skin cover, with good results in trauma care.
