The most common hand guns that we see at The Spirit of Charity Trauma
Center are .40 cal, and 9mm. The energy exchange is dependent (as
everyone is aware) for a significant part on the projectile. Based on
the injuries that Juan described and the photos that he showed me, I
would guess a hard nose round
