A question for the list........

1. Is this piece of equipment able to be used by non-medical personnel
(Fire Service USAR Technicians) without the worry of complications.

2. If so, what kind of training would be required?

3. Does this do the same job for the Pelvis as the likes of a SAM Pelvic Sling II (I have no financial interest in this piece of equipment), if not, can this be placed OVER the Pelvic Splint.

4. AND LASTLY and probably the most dubious of all....... If it works so well and is so cheap....why aren't any or many more health care providers/EMT's using them?

Regards,

Watch Manager Martin Ward
Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service
TWFRS USAR Technician
