There seems to be a message there somewhere Norman Norman McSwain, MD, FACS Trauma Director, Spirit of Charity Trauma Center, ILH/MCLNO Professor of Surgery, Tulane University New Orleans LA 504 988 5111 norman.mcswain at tulane.edu <mailto:norman.mcswain at tulane.edu> ________________________________ From: trauma-list-bounces at trauma.org on behalf of Marty Munro Sent: Tue 3/1/2011 9:04 PM To: Trauma-List [TRAUMA.ORG] Subject: Re: (OT) EMS Positions Overseas I don't know how it is in the U.S. but I know a Canadian medic that got hired by Xe, or the former Blackwater. The Canadian government found out, came to his house, told him that if he chose to go overseas and work for them that his passport would never be renewed in the future. Just something to think about. The medic decided not to go. ________________________________ From: "daniel.gerard at comcast.net" <daniel.gerard at comcast.net> To: Trauma-List [TRAUMA.ORG] <trauma-list at trauma.org> Cc: International Critical Care Medicine Group <ccm-l at list.pitt.edu> Sent: Tue, March 1, 2011 6:42:58 PM Subject: Re: (OT) EMS Positions Overseas Xe Services LLC, Haliburton, and Wackenhut. One of my former students is looking to find a position, preferably outside of the Middle East (which was my first suggestion) but he is just looking to "get a break from the states for a while" and will consider any good lead. My other suggestion was resorts and tour groups (sightseeing cruises, etc) but I have no specific advice for him on that end. Anyone have any suggestions? Feel free to contact me off list. -- Stephen Richey "Whoever destroys a soul, it is considered as if he destroyed an entire world.
