zygomycosis noted among Joplin Tornado survivors

Similar secondary mucor infections have been noted in some blast injuries from our current military operations. I advocate for use of topical agents (dakins, silver nitrate, or combination sulfamylon/amphotericin) when treating/evacuating these blast injured patients in theater as opposed to the typical negative pressure dressing, saline gauze, or dry gauze.
