Medical helicopter carrying 3 people crashes

*         The aircraft was carrying three people when it crashed Monday morning
*         It was headed to the University of Florida in Gainesville to harvest organs, the Mayo Clinic said
(CNN) -- A medical helicopter carrying three people crashed Monday morning in Florida, said the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Mayo Clinic has confirmed that two of it's employees were on the helicopter headed to the University of Florida in Gainesville to harvest organs.
FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the chopper crashed at approximately 5:23 a.m. ET about 12 miles northeast of Palatka, Florida which is just east of Gainesville.
Bergen said the helicopter was owned by SK Jets, which has not commented on the accident.
There is no word on whether anyone survived the accident.
