Ipod Teletrauma blog.

Hi there. I would like let the list members know that I just started a
blog regarding mHealth and its applications to trauma. Using a portable
handheld device (iPod Touch) we have been consulting on acute trauma
patients who are brought to remote rural hospitals, prior to their
transfer to our trauma center, sometimes preventing their transfer
altogether, sometimes optimizing their transfer/transport and at times
having them bypass us (i.e. in the case of massive burns). I refer you
to WWW.TEDxDirigo.com for the recently released talk which briefly
illustrates the idea, and also to the blog at
http://ipodteletrauma.blogspot.com. Please feel free to comment and to
share ad lib, since the more the idea gets around, the more successful
the project will be. I also refer you to the mHealth summit 2011 which
was an incredible, "awakening" experience, in regards to the advances
and prospects of using mobile technology to provide telemedical care.
Regards , Rafael J. Grossmann, MD, FACS
