Although it seems a bit intuitive to me there is discussion (for lack
of
a better term) between the Radiologists and Surgeons regarding the
necessity of a BUN and Cr prior to contrasted CT Scans.  The
discussion
centers around the seriously injured patient. I have been tasked with
identifying literature support (if any is available) to inform the
decision.  Does anyone have a reference you would like to suggest?
