while this is true, the FIRST thing we teach our field providers is 'Scene Safety'....including that they need to evacuate the area if things are getting sour with the crowd. If the best way to accomplish this is to load and go with an apparently dead patient on board, while demonstrating "TV resuscitation" to the crowd, then those of us who don't work the field anymore need to consider this as a way of keeping the field medics safe. Yeah, it can screw things up for the ME and the Homicide detectives at times, but if the alternative is to add two more bodies to the count.... ck In a message dated 10/26/10 14:02:12 Central Daylight Time, lrichmond at emprep.net writes: The message pre-hospital care providers are getting is to not transport trauma codes, but it's just not always a black and white decision when we have to make the transport decision.
