The bird reportedly was Staff for Life, which, from my experience, is one of the more conservative outfits on taking missions. In addition, the State of Missouri has a comprehensive Time Critical Diagnosis system that is being refined, and The Staff is participating in the development of the protocols. the intent of the TCD system was to define which AEMS missions were most useful to patient treatment, and the program has been ongoing for over 3 years now. ck In a message dated 12/20/10 08:29:46 Central Standard Time, nmcswai at tulane.edu writes: Other question---was the flight indicated? Was the patient severe enough to warrant the AEMS? Could the transport have been done equally safe for the patient on the ground?
