My sister died of something similar post partum, delivered at 25 weeks and 6 hours later found in PEA, Hgb 4 post with 4 liters blood in chest and another in mediastinum .? per report no "source " found.? Her only guess was a pre existing condition (elastic tissue disorder such as Ehlos-Danlers or a coronary artery aneurysm with dissection of same). Pericardial effusion, rarely. Pericarditis, occasionally, especially with a viral syndrome.
