We do take GS and Trauma call together once or twice a month - and do not get paid for either.  It is a part of our contract when we sign on.

Since we are on the topic, for those taking taking acute care call (i.e. emergency general surgery in addition to trauma call), is anyone getting?paid extra (i.e. a certain percentage of collections) for any general surgery?? We are not paid for any emergency general surgery (consults or operations) that is done while on trauma call.? It is considered part of our regular pay.?
