Pret,
I am not knowlegable enough, or worldly enough to propose an appropriate alternative to Mr. Obama for the peace prize.  Might I suggest that rather than giving the prize to someone who's only claim to fame is that he isn't George Bush or that he is the  warm and fuzzy kumbya king (sorry, my spelling is poor), why not challenge the world by saying that no one has earned the honor, so we'll wait till someone has before we just give it out just to give it out.   As I've said in the past, sadly  this award has demeaned the meaning and worth, in fact the very validity of the prize.
