Again, as a confirmed cynic, what exactly is being represented here? I know he wants world peace and voted against the war, but what culmination of events puts him in front of others who have dedicated themselves for decades to peace.dn

If I understand correctly, the post mark deadline for nominations for this  
year's Nobel Peace Prize was sometime early in Feb...less than a month 
after his  inauguration.
 
so he didn't have much time to trash talk anyone.
 
As far as relating this to trauma: If President Obama is encouraged (by  
domestic sources) and allowed (by foreign sources) to live up to this award,  
then he will be able to reduce the overall trauma burden on the world wide  
(especially military) health system.
