--> I'll admit that my attention span failed me on page 4 out of 8 of the article... But in any case, it's far too ridiculous for me to continue to read! It appears to hint at the suggestion of the possibility that medical professionals, when presented with an earning opportunity in a capitalist economy, might resort to behaving like...other humans!!!

How nonsensical!

> It's a perspective I've never seen before

--> I have!

I worked as a waiter in a steakhouse for the last 2 years of med school and continued well into my 2nd year as a physician (yes, I did!). A couple would come in for steaks and a beers and end up being sold a bottle of wine and starters and a salad and desserts... As well as steaks and beers...

Through my actions in causing these sales the customers were not immediately harmed, none of the products were flawed, nor did they think my service was below par. Indeed, they were probably happier and more contented than they would have expected to be... Right up to the point where they got the bill! (And if I did my tricks well with the wine, even that instant would pass without notice)

Darn it... Now I've made myself peckish...
