BRAVO to Dr. Krin

"outside of being encouraged to practice good medicine by my professors, and striving to pass that ethic along to my students and residents"

For God's sake Chuck!!!! There is absolutely NOTHING more that one person could do to influence the bottom line, because by doing that you are optimizing outcomes and minimizing costs!!!

Why is it that such a simple concept has been lost on the mega-minds that want to change the system and do it fast?

I can't hold a candle to the current Surgeon General nominee, nor to many
other members of this august body. And, outside of being encouraged to
practice good medicine by my professors, and striving to pass that ethic along
to my students and residents, I can't claim to have influenced the bottom
line of the hospital when I was there.

Bingo. Dr. Krin is an editorial of success that the President should use
and paste it on the front page of the NYT.
