if you were getting 100 ml/hr from one kidney at a SBP of 88, then I'd have been happy. With the detail that the bleeding restarted when the SBP bounced to 140 (due to pain, catecholamine release, over hydration?), I'd have been even happier to see the SBP stay between 100-120. Did you figure out the reason for the post op hypertension? My first guess (from the timing as the anesthesia wore off) would be less than effective post op analgesia with resulting catecholamine release. Was there a concomitant tachycardia? ck Charles S.
