Obviously the story is intended to leave that impression.  The least
experienced among us could tally this up to phosphorous munitions -- the use
of which, I'm quite sure, is a war crime.  

That an experienced clinician in a perpetual war zone would post this lame
query where the BBC would find it smells less of "offensive chemicals" than
ham-handed propaganda.

I'm as suspicious as anyone over the motives and methods of the IDF; but
folks, don't be STUPID.
