The lost of a great man

We will continue to loose great people for reasons of nature and man,
for reasons that we understand and those we don't. The tragedy is no
less devastating for the friends, family, and in this business the
patients served. Today I learned of the death of a former student,
dear friend, and amazing Paramedic. Todd Seek was a Paramedic in
Loveland, Colorado who cared for patients as if they were his loved
ones, his vocation, and his responsibility. Below is one of many
stories about Todd and his contribution to EMS. It is unfortunate
that it takes such a tragedy to remind us of what is truly important

*********************
The one philosophy Todd lived by which has remained a major motivator
in my life was his dedication to his patient's. Todd achieved the
highest ranking in his Paramedic School with a cumulative score of
97%. At a graduation celebration he was asked by one of the state EMS
leaders why it was so important for him to do so well. His response
was classic Todd!! He stated, "97 is good but what about the 3 out of
100 patients I can't care for perfectly?! Those are the ones I'm
going to let down. I still have a lot to learn."
*********************
My we all learn from our colleagues, keep important what truly is, and
make those that leave us to carry on proud.

Take care,

Bob
