Dear Colleague

Critical bleeding is a serious complication in trauma and major surgery,
and is a leading cause of potentially preventable death in these patients.
The understanding regarding how the haemostatic system works has changed
considerably over the last decade, and this have had important implications
for both transfusion, surgical, diagnostic and pharmacologic strategies in
massively bleeding patients.

It is therefore a great pleasure to invite you to:

1st International Symposium on Critical Bleeding, ISCB 2009, to be held at
Moltkes Palace in Copenhagen, Denmark, August 24-25 2009.

Several internationally renowned experts within the field of  trauma,
anaesthesiology and intensive care, hematology and transfusion medicine
will participate in the symposium and give "state of the art" lectures
concerning the management of critically bleeding patients. Also,
interactive sessions will be held with interesting case presentations for
the expert panel and delegates to comment and discuss.
