What started this line of discussion was to alert you that nothing is  
sacred anymore and that new concepts in Cx collar application, design,
science,  
clearance of c spine, etc. is in the near future.    My purpose  was not
to 
support old and out of date concepts and protocols, but to clear your  
minds for some new things that are coming.   Just be  prepared.   Not
quite 
ready just now, but very soon
