Teaching ACLS, there are all sorts of myths taught as gospel, although they are not a part of the AHA or ILCOR materials for the instructor. Or things are misrepresented, where AHA states one thing, but the instructors interpret it in a very narrow, very inaccurate way - and insist that this is the only acceptable way. Then QA/QI/CYA departments start enforcing these fairy tales.
