The President of the United States has made a request on the White House
Blog site (http://www.trauma.org/index.php/community/list/url/http:list.ftech.net/pipermail/trauma-list/2009-August/_http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/_
(http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/) ) that citizens at a grass root level report to him and his associates
anything that they receive, read, or perceive on the Internet relating to
Health Care (Economics) Reform to be "fishy."

I for one am delighted with the request from President Obama to report to
him any thing which I perceive from the web, etc. to appear to me to be
"fishy." This now has provided me and thousands of others a direct means to
communicate directly to him with issues of concern. I have already used
this vehicle 3 times since yesterday to report several items which I do
believe to be "fishy," and I am hopeful that he and his staff, as well as the
Congress, and the professional organizations will address. The e-mail
adderss he has constructed specifically for these health issues is

I must commend this President for his effective use and understanding of
the power and capability of the Internet. I also must take him and his
staff at their word, that they are truly interested in discovering those
things, not only about health care, but all aspects of our economy and society
which could be improved from this truly grass roots capability and access
to the center of power. I trust that this will indeed make our society
better. Would it be that access to health care and a doctor would be this
streamlined, simple, and cost effective. I for one will find a great number
of opportunities to use this direct access to provide rapid communications.

After my first few direct communications, I have now thought of a number of
areas which I can submit later today via this new wonderful mechanism and
those include disaster, trauma center funding, etc. With the millions
of e-mails that he is receiving via this mechanism, I do hope he has time
to read and answer each and every one of them.
