Dr. Mary Lumpkin, As you are my former Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Fellow, may God bless you and please be safe. I am now VERY worried, but know with your training you will be well prepared. If there is anything that I (we) here at Maricopa Medical Center or the Arizona Burn Center can do, please let us know. I will also put us on standby. Again, may God bless you, the patients, your staff and all of Texas. Sincerely, Dutch Marc R. We expect to see hurricaine force winds and storm surges over Galveston island and this area of the Texas Coast, including low lying areas near Houston. This is obviously a major undertaking on short notice and hopefully full evacuation will be accomplished in under 24 hours from the decision to do so. Thanks to our colleagues in Cincinnati, Shreveport, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio for opening their doors to these patients. Please keep the physicians, staff, families, and most importantly our patients in your hearts and prayers on this 9-11 anniversary.
