Gregory,

Since I believe it's nearly two weeks from the injury and the patient is
doing well with no complaints and a normal physical exam, I would not limit
his activities.

In this case, it is not a parenchimal bleeding issue (like with spleen and
Liver injuries) where we still don't have hard evidence for how long to
ground the active kids.  There, everyone has his own formula and "your bet
is as good as mine" so to speak.

I have no literature to back this but In this case I would do FU US to see
if there is some ominous lesion developing (like a pseudo-cyst).  If the US
is normal I would not limit the boy's activities.

Just a quick update...Pediatric GI would not see patient so I could not get
ERCP...Clinically he has no complaints and is doing well....he plays tuba in
high school marching band and I have ask him to abstain for a couple of
weeks...what would be the opinion of the list participants in the length of
limiting his physical activity Thanks Y'all!!!
