Continuation from last post my fat finger sent too soon.

I think an outright ban on ad hoc LZs is overkill. How many of the  
crashed HEMS birds can be attributed to the fact it was at an ad HIV  
LZ?  I may be missing it but I don't see that factor as a huge part of  
the overall problem. Seems that other factors are more the issue. No ?
