CTA has become the universal test to evaluate the Mediastinum in children, teenagers, and adults.     It is ordered and available to the surgeon in blunt trauma patients, even before the surgeon is called.      The conputer reconstructions allow us to move the structures around and look from many angles.     The chest x-ray has too many variables.
