For penetrating trauma, I personally PREFER plain abdominal x-ray to CT scanning. For blunt trauma, CT scanning is OK, but massively overused and many VOMITS occur. For penetrating trauma, CT scanning is next to useless. k In a message dated 1/30/2008 7:34:51 A.M. However, I'm not aware of anywhere that still does plain X-rays for abdo trauma. Does anyone know of any evidence for or against? Any views? Have I missed something?
