hello all, especially those living in Scandinavian countries,

those of you interested in ultrasound in emergency and intensive care 
medicine have probably heard of the first three world congresses on this 
subject and the winfocus project ( <http://www.winfocus.org> ).

ultrasound in Scandinavia has in many parts remained a domain of the 
radiologists, cardiologists and gynaecologists -   up to recently, that 
is.

Erik Sloth in Århus, Danmark, has been pioneering among us 
anaesthesiologists  ( <http://www.fate-protocol.com/> ), but otherwise 
things have been limited to isolated efforts:

colleagues in Lund emergency department are busy introducing ultrasound, 
and formal courses are now being offered by "katatrofmedicinskt centrum" 
in Lidköping ( <http://www.lio.se/templates/Page.aspx?id=3686> ); a small 
part of my own efforts can now be found at 
<http://www.acidbase.org/echo/>.

a first Scandinavian ultrasound meeting is to be held on the 6th to the 
8th of october in Århus, Danmark. i attach the first announcement.
you are not only invited as passive participants, if any of you wants to 
actively present his or her work -  you are welcome!

we still need help with publicising this announcement in Finland and 
Iceland, as none of us practices in those countries! are there any 
colleagues from these countries on-list? could you please point out the 
relevant local journals to us?
