Patrick, There is an active discussion about making trauma outcome comparisons at a European level (as we have a fascinating variety of trauma care systems). I am sure that you could easily get useful advice, collaboration and fellowship. You could maybe contact Rolf Lefering who runs the German Trauma Registry, Hans-Morten Lossius who is active in Scandanavia (SCANTEM) or Antoinnete Edwards from EuroTARN in the UK. Best wishes, Tim. PS. I bet those fondue skewers can cause nasty finger injuries if you get the timing wrong, Prof Tim Coats Professor Emergency Medicine, Leicester University, UK. Chair, Trauma Audit and Research Network (TARN). -----Original Message----- From: Marc Matthews - MedPro MMC X [mailto:Marc_Matthews at medprodoctors.com] Sent: 05 February 2008 18:47 To: Trauma & trauma-list at trauma.org Subject: RE: AIS-ISS version Dr. Schoettker, In an attempt to answer your question, I spoke with our Trauma Program Manager and the following is what she told me. As we have a state trauma registry that mandates that we turn in data to them (funding issues), the Arizona Department of Health Service (Trauma Division) upgraded us automatically with this latest version. We have also sent our trauma registrars to a course to be able to use this latest version. So, we are using it to stay current as requested by the state. I have not heard any bad feedback as of late in regards to accuracy from our registrars, the state, other Arizona level one trauma centers or from the attendings at my institution using this data.
