You didn't know that Of COURSE, I know that and have know that such claims have been made for DECADES. AND I FIND THEM TO BE INCREADIBLY INACCURATE compared to other methods of determining ejection fraction, cardiac output, etc. etc. etc. etc. You forget that first I am a cardiac surgeon, with probably more cardiac surgery under my belt than trauma surgery. I have interacted with cardiologist, invasive and non invastive since 1965 and have watched and learned from the anesthesiologists. I tried and tried to find a use for the TEE and TTE in trauma. We really did. I find that some cardiologist are very good with echo, but most over read tremendously and when they do a real cardiac output compared to TEE cardiac output that is where the randomization of the random number generators really happens. ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour
