Longer EC STAY

Motorcycle driver alledgedly drove into back of another  vehicle.   Lying on 
face at scene of accident.   Unhelmeted.   Very compative, moves all  
extremeties.     20 min prehospital time, still  combative.   Bruse on back of L 
skull, pupils  equal.     Intubated with great difficulty while stabilizing  neck 
in situ.     VS, EKG, and oxygen saturation stable (at  99-99) entire time.   
Successful intubation after 38 minutes by senior  staff anesthesiologist.      
Surgeons with knife ready  should airway be compromised or oxygen saturation  
decrease.      To CT scan.    Tiny  epidural as a counter coup lesion and 
posterior skull fx.   No OR  .   To Neuro ICU after about 47 minutes in the  EC.   
  SO...............longer period of time in order to  get airway and CT and 
decision.   Cervical spine OK on  CT.    No other problems.
