I happen to be on trauma call in house tonight, so I just came back to my computer from the last GSW to hit the door. Code 3 - sold to us as GSW to head. Apparently a murder attempt. Bumper to shock room, to cloths off, to examination, to CT scanner = 5 minutes flat. Neurosurgery and GS in shock room when patient arrived. Plan initially to go to OR, OR is ready to go. In CT 5 min later TWO GSWs are seen and are both in BAD locations. NS decides to go to Neurosurgery ICU based on the TWO trajectories. No OR. To NICU 15 min after arrival or pressurfe monitoring. GCS not determinable as EMS paralyzed patient. k ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
