Sensibilities

I so agree with these statements. Without the spilling of that red blood,
we would not be able to have many of the freedoms we have. I personally
thank those who safeguard this right for me, and owe a debt to those who
have given the ultimate price to secure those rights.

Charlene,

I hear you. Even though I been truly offended, in the past, by comments
made on this site that disparaged 3 things that are very dear to me and my
being - that is being an American, and American soldier, and a Jew - I am
sensitive to the fact that I cannot:
1. forbide anyone from expressing their views, and
2. lower myself to a level of behavior that I would not accept from my kids,
and that my parents never tolerated from theirs.

I think that we should all remember that a lot of good red blood has been
spilled so as to protect the First Amendment rights of all people, both here
and abroad, and we continue to spill blood because of the intolerance of
folks like Mr./Dr. Klein. We need to reverse the slide.

I'll shut up now.

Ron

You know, not to condone Mr/Dr. Klein's inappropriate message, I do KNOW
from history that some people have very emotional issues concerning
anti-Semitism and religious considerations that block our usual pre-frontal
cortex filtering system.

To vilify another's beliefs must really be handled gently if at all, as
misunderstanding others results in reactions similar to this and other
behaviors we in the US have indeed witnessed here and abroad in recent
years.
