Ang: Level 1 Fluid Infusor

Johan - you need to get the patient to the OR, and one without any BP is
not going to survive the trip!

We have one in the trauma bay but I think it was bought just because
the head of the ER thought it was cool... (He's from Internal Medicine).
I personally would never use it in the ER, a pat who needs that level of
massive transfusion more than anything needs to get to the elevator to
OR instead. We also have one in OR which is occasionally used. When used
though, it gives enough pressure to wash your car.

Ärende: Level 1 Fluid Infusor

How many of you out there are using a Level
1<http://www.smiths-medical.com/catalog/fluid-warming/fast-flow/hardware/level-1-h-1200.html>(or
equivalent) fluid infusor in your emergency room? Why or why not?
How
many have purchased a new one recently, or are contemplating such a
purchase? Why or why not?
